Mentoring for Yoga Teachers

A yoga teacher is teaching a yoga student, who is sat on a yoga mat, taking notes. They are both wearing yoga leggings and yoga tops. They are in a light, bright and airy yoga studio, which has large windows and plain-coloured walls.

I have always considered myself a lifelong learner…but I LOVE to teach too! I have been practising yoga for 10 years, and finally took the plunge 3 years ago to become a yoga teacher! But I’ve always been a teacher… from when I was 4 years old, navigating my dad through France with a PAPER map (for those that are not familiar with this, it’s like if you printed out Google maps)… to when I becoame a Primary school Teacher in 2011.

But I don’t just love to teach what I know, I love to help others to LEARN. To nurture and grow others into the best versions of themselves!

This is my true passion… and so the Frananda Yoga Teacher mentoring programme was born.

When I came out of my Yoga teacher training, I felt lost.

Granted, we were in the onset of a pandemic, but there was this sinking feeling of “Is this it? what do I do now?”. I knew what I wanted to do, to start teaching classes! But where to start? Teach in a gym or a studio? Strike out on my own or not? When to quit my full time job? Sure, my yoga teacher training had dedicated a single session to setting up your own yoga classes, but I really didn’t know a lot back then! I wished there was someone I could have reached out to instead of figuring it out on my own…
