What customers are saying about Frananda Yoga
I had been thinking about taking up Yoga for a while but always found excuses not to. When a friend told me she was taking part in the course I decided I needed to stop making excuses and get motivated. I have lost flexibility over the years and suffer from back trouble.
Fran is lovely. She explains all the moves really well and breaks them down so novices like me can follow. I was always worried that I’d be expected to be flexible to take part in yoga but Fran has proved that anyone can take part!
You learn something about yoga and your own self. I didn’t have any expectations because I just wanted to see how it goes. I was a bit worried that I would be awkward but everyone has been lovely and welcoming.
One thing I love about Frananada Yoga is her kind heart and easy-going, non-judgemental nature. You don’t need to worry about being ‘good at it’, because “yoga meets you where you are”, [which]
is nice for a change because we always feel pressure to succeed and to be great at something (in a job, in hobbies, in friendships etc.).
I am so happy I booked it!
Post Lockdown I was looking for a new Yoga class.
I was long aware of the benefits of Yoga, but I wanted to find a class that was positive, accessible and nonjudgmental and I am so glad I found Fran’s Wednesday Yoga class.
I really look forward to attending and I know that I get my best night’s sleep in the middle of the week the night of my class because I feel so relaxed and calm by the end of the class.
Fran is always encouraging, and a positive and affirmative teacher and I recommend her classes.
With such great offers for beginners what have you got to lose?
I hope to see you at a class soon.
I started taking group classes because I wanted to try something new, and knew that with Fran it would be without judgment and expectation. When I first started practicing yoga, I began to feel stronger in parts of my body, for example, in the muscles which make up the core. After only a few months of regular practice (two/three times per week for 75 minutes), I was leaner, and could move my body in ways I couldn’t before. I also think I have become fitter and have more confidence in my abilities.
Yoga with Fran has also helped my mind be more focused. When I stand in a balancing pose for example, I find I can now focus all of my attention on my body and my gaze to stay stable. I have also learned to listen to my body. For example, I know to increase my effort to remain in a correct position or come out of the position if I’ve pushed myself enough.
Yoga with Fran has taught me it’s not about what you look like, it’s about how you feel, and it’s not about what poses you get into, it’s about seeing what your body can do there and then. It has helped me to learn to keep trying, stay focused, enjoy any challenge, and not let my ego get in the way.
Frananda Yoga helped me by giving me a routine and enjoyable exercise. The result was I enjoyed yoga for the first time ever.
One thing I liked in particular was that there are many options available for each move and the recognition and thoughtfulness about people's different abilities.
Overall, I found the experience very enjoyable and I would recommend Frananda Yoga to people who need a kind and gentle teacher, variations for any injuries or problems and to make more time for themselves.
Frananda Yoga helped me by teaching me to calm my mind and take some me time. It helped me to learn to slow down and enjoy the peace and calm that yoga brings too. I can slow down now! Yoga with Fran is about the only time I do so I look forward to it.
I found the experience really relaxing and it allowed me to have some ‘me time’, slowing down my fast-paced lifestyle and sessions helped to reduce my stress levels.
I would recommend Frananda Yoga to people who need to reduce their stress levels and take some time for themselves. In this busy world, everybody could do with some me time and Frananda Yoga really helps!
